A few weeks back I took three dead pines out of this area, I took another two today. I did split up the bigger rounds, just a few pictures of that nasty pine! We actually have a burn ban on, we still have over a foot of snow in the woods, lets just say some frost came out of the ground inside the outdoor fireplace.
When I talked with the DEC agent out of Potsdam New York on Thursday, he said it was for people who like to burn huge piles of brush or people who clear land an try to burn it. That area needs thinning big time, I'll be back at it tomorrow. I'll be getting some smaller topped off Cherry and some Pine.
