Tis the season Gas. I think we all look forward to a break for a while til next fall. It's better then, to step away now...
Yeah I'm sick of this bullchit all of a sudden it turned into winter again. I'm really sick of filling up the humidifier
How can a firewood hoarder step away this early when I have multiple year standing dead Pine that burns great and will keep the house warm? I can't do it Stinny! I won't do it! I'm getting up in the morning and drinking double the caffeine I usually do then I'm cleaning the boiler, sealing, and getting her going again after the Rutland cement dries. I'll be back burning by 9am.
What I have found is that during all this really cold winter, I have acquired an addiction. I'm now addicted to sitting on my azz
If it wasn't for regular job overtime and COLD! temps, I'd come help ya in my former home state! Wait, St Lawrence River Valley? Sorry, Gasifier , that's too far north! Eric VW
Ok, its still cold out. 21° out now. Burning whatever I have left in the fireplace. Elm, ash, I think a chunk of willow that happens to actually be bone dry. Pretty sure a chunk of oak, but I'm not certain of all the pieces in the pile my buddy said I could take as much ad I wanted from. It's all been stacked for over 5 years, whatever it is. This might be the last couple of fires of the season of the forecasters are right. Hopefully they are right.
-12c and elm in the box as usual. Supposed to be sunny and around 0c this weekend so gonna try and get some cutting or splitting done.
I cannot believe we are at 27 degrees Fahrenheit in mid Murderland. I'm burning the last of my mixed red oak and honey locust. Its not supposed to go above 38 today and is dropping back down to 22 degrees tonight. I think I have just enough premium seasoned to get me through the two days.
28 on the mason dixon line, load of walnut, and supposed to be down to 20 tonight. I've burned firewood right up through april, and even touch off several fires in may......neighbor Bob said years ago 'jeeebushschmoleeeee' I had ta make fire in JUNE
You're closer to the Pennsyltucky line than I am which makes a big difference. I don't usually burn this late and never past April 1st.
