Made a 3 point skidding attachment for the tractor and pulled around a 18" oak log easily. Made cleanup after dropping a few trees much quicker. Just needs some paint now.

Any issues with the weight sitting that far behind the axle? I guess you could always just get a scoop of dirt in the loader if needed.

I don't think it is a problem. If it was too much weight the 3 point wouldn't lift it.

It was only $25 or so in materials, but I guess you would need a beefier version for your tractor. It has a hitch receiver too for moving trailers around.

Thanks! It sure is a big help. I'm always looking for ways to work smarter and quicker especially since I'm almost always working by myself.

Nice job! It makes skidding easy when the logs aren't digging in the ground

I have a big weight bucket on my tractor with no problems what so ever, from what I have read some of the 4 wheel drive tractors with loaders need weight on the back of the tractor to help counter weight the loader and saves on wear and tear on the front end.
Nice looking unit you made there!

Thanks! I want to make sure it doesn't need anything else welded on before I paint it. I run out of space to keep crap so mulit purpose is good!

I agree. Logs like this one really make things light on the rear end. This is about maximum without having additional rear end weight but it saves a bunch of work sometimes.

having issues, my tractor came with loaded back tires and 3 50lb weight on each back tire. I financed for a friend he stopped Makin payments so it's mine now. got a great deal. those 550 month payments were hard for 2 years though. but one thing is for sure you can never have too much storage. house came with a 30 x 40 horse barn and hay loft above it packed full (no horses) a 2.5 car garage and bonus room above it. added a 20 x 20 bay all packed full I am lookin for a sign that says
if you build it they can fill it!
currently work in on a closet :picard:
