    It snowed here 23 days ago. Tonight- tornados, severe thunderstorms, hail. I guess spring has sprung.

    Hey Fox.....I feel your pain. I'm on vacation camping in NW Arkansas on the Buffalo River and its raining cats and dogs. No hail yet, but lots of lightning.

    Not to worry you but lots of flash flood warnings out in the area. I hope you're on high ground. The ~25F temp drop in the last few hours will take the intensity out of the thunder storms, but not the rain.

    Thanks for the update Fox......yes I'm on a high bluff above the river in the center of Gilbert.....but I spoke too soon about no hail. It started a small hail storm a few minutes ago, but has now stopped. I hope thats all of that stuff for the night. :hair:

    We were evacuated for two weeks for wildfires in 2012. Stayed in the 1978 hunting trailer in great little RV campground on the Big Thompson River for 2 weeks. A year later is was washed away in floods, had been there for 1/2 century. A few condos, shower facilities, dog park, office, RV spots, all gone. Ironically I lost my dear friend in the floods of 1997 in fort collins too. Crazy stuff not to be taken lightly!

    Sorry to hear about your friend wildwest . Glad y'all were ok. A few years ago, a camp ground on a river flooded in Hot Springs, AR. Several fatalities and lots of vehicles lost. Bad stuff.

    She was not in the trailer park, but a block away from it in her brick and mortar house. Also ironic, the rescue crews broke into the store where we all met and worked together for several years (me, her, and my hubby all became fast friends). They took life jackets, climbing ropes, inflatable rafts and a lot of other stuff to help a lot of people, but it was too late for Cindy. Sob story....We had gone hunting and fishing with my husband many times together where he taught us to be careful in swift currents....Sigh.

    My friend's daughter lives in Ft. Collins. She loves it, he loves to visit. Very sad article.

    I lived there for over 20 years, NICE place to be for sure. Let your friend know I am 1.5 hours away if she ever needs help.
