Second Secondaries is just what I decided to call them. Finally got a quick vid of this. As far as I know this is a unique feature on Lopi stoves . My stove has 3 secondary burn tubes ,then holes in the back of the stove ,that are also secondary burn holes. Nice show. I see it in my super 27, because the baffle gasket doesn't seal 100% . Get a fair amount of secondary burning back there, but I don't see a problem with it. I have a couple of vids, but it doesn't show anything through the wall of fire at the front.
Yupp, we get 'em. I'd say that the secondary show and the air wash system on the Avalons/Lopis are some of the best in the industry. On a good load of dry wood, we'll get amazing secondaries that seem to last longer than some other EPA stoves I've been around. I'm hoping to install my Liberty this summer... I'm thinking it'll have the same effects.
And I love our Liberty. I've really enjoyed this year making heat with a nice fire view. Our older stoves made some good heat, but were preEPA (backdrafting/gases re-igniting issues) with no glass door. Think it's the pyro in me...
Yeah , you could see a nice fire in my old fire view with the iron plate dropped down, but for heating it didn't work well so ,had to keep er closed up . Seems to warm you up just lookin at the fire

I have a newer pot on now, I just started eyeing whats left of my lil ones chocolate milk after dessert, is that wrong or does it sound delicious!?!
For some strange reason we do have baileys!! Opened it over Christmas and there is sits in the fridge.....Full..... Next to a full bottle of Cognac from the holidays too. I had cold and a terribly sore throat and my husband told me to gargle it. It worked.
