Was able to spend several weeks in the Palm springs area.
Even rode a bike in the Tour de Palm Springs .
    Lots of golf & cycling.
Got a good golf/biker tan & burnt toes wearing golf sandals. LOL :)

    Had lots of fun
Could get into the "snow bird " schedule. Need to work on it so I spend winters down there :)

Glad you're back buddy! Your looking good on that bike representing the great territory of Alaska!

I hope you pocketed some dry wood. Southern Cali wood is 0% on the MM!

Hey Dave,,, I spent a couple months in the sun this winter as well, and even got sunburned a couple times hanging out on some tropical beaches in the Philippines. We are also thinking of making a habit of it. Looking into setting up a little business over there to help justify the flying back and forth.
Judging by your picture, you look like a man who likes to stay in shape.

    Thanks everyone

Yea; Need a FHC sticker for the bike :)

Bike is a hardtail 29er. A little more upright riding position works good for my back.
The roads are a little rough so the front suspension & big tires helps cushion the ride.
Put over 100 miles on it. longest ride was 50 miles, 4 hour.
Had to slime the tubs/tires, everything in the desert wants to poke, scratch or bite you. After that. no more flats.
    The Palm Springs place:

Never rode bike any distance before, found out I like it. Lots of fun & great exercise.
Body learned to sweat in the heat, few days in the 90°s.

Old fat guy in spandex padded bike shorts not a pretty picture, but in that heat, a thin layer is a must to help stay cool .
    keeping hydrated very important .

Actually , in the 1st picture, there is snow on the mtn peaks there. High desert area stays pretty cold in winter.
