I meant head room as for door installation. They make low head room kits for over head doors but you will have to take a tape to what you got to see what is available for your needs. If the ceiling is to low a roll up door may not work either.

Roll up door. Used in warehouses pretty often.

Looked into them, probably going to go that route. Even if its too low, it will only be at the entry point, not 1/2 the depth of the garage.

The ones we have are for 40 foot tall doors and are only 24 or so inches tall. We mount them above the header so clearance isn't an issue.

We have rafters sitting on too of the header IIRC.

Same here, under the snow drift. He had to chip it out, to get to our pellets in there.

Did you make it back to Menards for correct pipe? Also did you find a good door option?

Yep, went back to menards the next day and got it sorted out. I think we will do the roll up even though it will be a little low right at the entrance.

I didnt quite get it done, my body called it quits. Got most of the floor done, still have to cut about 4 pieces and screw em down.

Good progress - good time of year to be getting the heavy upstairs work completed, might get a little warm up there when the sun starts shining.

I guess you checked into codes for fireplaces in garages?

Yeah, my brother put one in his in the fall so we will be up to code once we get the rest of the chimney installed. Waiting for the cap to arrive in the mail.
