The local hardware had a grill competition today that my sister and I entered. There was 12 entrees and there was some awesome food there. Entrees were anywhere form burgers, steaks, fish, pork, chicken and tofu. We made a pork loin stuffed with Cream cheese, bacon jam, jalapeƱos, and wrapped in a bacon weave. Side dish was a sweet and jalepeno pepper. We stuffed half with a grilled chicken, cream cheese, and bacon jam the wrapped it in bacon. The other half we did a veggie version and stuffed with cream cheese, pineapple and black beans. Everything turned out great and we took home best of show! The other two awards given were best non meat and best meat.
WoW, food looks awesome and BIG Congrats taking best in show! (Nice shirt too btw!) Can any of the food be donated to Well Seasoned 's belly? Ha, I just tagged myself!
Congrats to you and your sister on the best of show...... That bacon wrapped pork loined looked awesome! ... Oh yeah nice plug for FHC...
Congratulations! I bet that was a lot of fun. Spring can not get here fast enough. The Webers are still buried in snow here.
Yes he is there this weekend for the home and garden weekend, he's the one that presented our award. Great guy and very nice. Also Emily Ellen from cutthroat kitchen was there. The local hardware is a family business with a big restaurant, hardware, marketplace, and gift shop. All of them are huge and they are great at bringing in celebrities to put on events. This hardware puts Lowes and Home Depot to shame.
Ahmad Hassan? Sure looks like him. He was the best host on HGTV. Then he left, or was replaced. I forget the story on yard crashers.
Yeah, he always seemed very personable. Smart too, I think he left HGTV to spend more time with family and be closer to home. The wife and I would watch yard crashers and say "why can't he come here and redo our yard?" Like we were the only ones saying that. Lol.
