Not much wood left in the wood rack that is on the porch. You'll notice some kindling on the left then small stuff. It really works nice when you don't need a lot of heat. But wait!! This is officially spring now and not winter. Why is it not above freezing outside? Sunny so should be warm, right? Well, not always. In addition, we are expecting lots of teens for overnight temperatures this week. Oh well, the bigger stuff is on the right but I may have to add to it. That one you can see on the right is a 6" diameter red oak. That might be ashes by morning.
I'm down to the last bit of Maple and Pine myself. I won't use any more Oak, so I'll need to grab some lesser stuff from the field stacks.
Probably should have last night too, but I just turned on the DV with a load of Maple in the stove. Still got down to 67 by this morning in here. Might go ahead and do that, since it looks like we're only due for about 4 more nights below 10. WooHoo! Just brought in my last 3 splits of Maple from the shed. I should really go out back and grab some more. Maybe tomorrow.
I am still burning a full load almost every night and 2-3 splits in the morning. I still have quite a bit of wood left from what I alloted for this year as the insulation really cut down on my wood useage.
