We need a "so sorry" button because it is hard to "like" posts of people's hardships and troubles. Glad to hear the daughter and boyfriend are all right Jack Straw

We survived a 9 hour round road trip through high winds and rain. Definitely spring here. Nice to be home.

I just watched "the theory of everything" on DVD. Man that was a rough watch, especially since my dad has ALS.

I'm glad I watched it at home. Great movie though.

    How about those badgers? :)

I just finished watching a few episodes of "Ultimate Restorations" on TV. They have some episodes on Youtube also. These projects are absolutely incredible seeing what they started with and restoring them to operating condition. Museum quality work.

Having seen all of the movie up for major Oscars, I'm shocked Birdman got so many Oscars, including best actor and best picture over the theory of everything.

I say that birdman was by far the worst of any of the nominated movies.

That's what happens when actors get to vote for awards shows, they vote for movie that shows behind the scenes of what they do daily. I've heard that was the reason, and that's the only one that makes sense.

Tomorrow, I'm headed out to the woodlot to get as much wood rounds as I can out and into my buddies backyard where I can split it at my leisure. See, I can go up to the edge of my land via farm fields, while conditions allow. Dry, cold, and untilled, and unplanted fields should allow me to haul with my Audi. If I wait too long, I'll have to use a tractor or ATV with the wood trailer and do double, if not more work. Hopefully my buddy can help too. If he can, I'll easily get double the amount of wood out of the forest.

Well today I knocked out a few things that needed to be done. Went to the dump for my parents and us. Returned a bunch of bottles and cans and got the deposit back. Then went to work outside for about 4 hours total I guess. Cut some standing dead wood to burn. My seasoned firewood is getting low, so I am saving the Ash for nighttime burning. I will use the standing dead Pine for burning during the day. I was able to get 1-1/2 face cord of wood that is nice and dry. Standing dead for several years. It was snowing off and on some parts of those hours. A wet snow. After four hours of working outside my outside clothes and two pair of gloves were soaking wet. I then stopped working about 2 I guess and took a hot shower and cleaned up. Spent the afternoon with wife and kids. Took my son on in a game of chess. He is getting better. But I had to show him how it is done. Now watching March Madness with wife and kids, Villanova and NC State going at it. Warm inside. Getting colder outside.

Worked at the in laws all day then came home and worked some more.

Got about 1.5 yards of chicken manure spread on the garden and tilled under. Should be a productive year.

Going to try to stay awake for the ND Butler game but I don't think I'll make it.
