    There is a thread over on Aborist Site dedicated to the Earthquakes. Guys have ported them and retimed them etc. Its well over 100 pages and has been running for years!!

    Yes, Machria, a bigger bore, but inside the same size cylinder and crank stroke was 1 mm longer.

    The Earthquake saws we were buying were all "returns". Some were new, some were barely used. Some had problems, some did not, etc. you weren't buying a brand new saw with a warranty but for less than $50, who gave a chit?

    Gotcha. But still, $70 bucks or whatever for the new ones is pretty dang amazing.

    Like he said though. Some of the $50 saws were brand new, they were in the original box sometimes or a plain cardboard box others. The used ones I got hadnt seen wood for even a tank of fuel I dont think.

    You can buy a 52cc /20" For $100 shipped to your door. The chain it came with was awful but once sharpened properly, it started up, ran great and cut like an animal. For the price? It is indeed an unbelievable deal. Of all the Chinese saws, it was the fastest at last years G2G.

    I still have/use it.
