Don't know what these bring usually , but I know they are sought after. This appeared on my CL yesterday. http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/grd/4939605951.html
Way over priced... It's a collectable model, but damaged badly. It would be worth $500 if there was nothing broken/missing.. And that thing don't pass muster... He's having delusions of grandeur... Much like the fellow with a walnut tree in his yard worth $10,000...
Can't imagine using that for more than a little while at a time. Was at a Stihl dealer a couple days ago, and picked up a 441. Too heavy for me. The 361 slot was empty, and the price tag was $749, which is a $40 increase from last fall when I was in there. Anyway, yeah, that looks pretty beat up.
Definitely over priced. I picked one up in 2011 that was a barn find for $130. Went all through it with a couple parts, new rubber, and a good cleaning job. Then, there it was, just sitting on the shelf. I had to sell it, couldn't handle seeing it set.
Looking back at the above post, I didn't even get to the point I was trying to make. Anyways, I sold that saw for $400 if I remember correctly. It ran perfect, was in good shape besides a chunk out of the clutch cover. Only problem was it needed a clutch. Had it been all up to snuff, no way I would have gotten the $750 the ad is asking.
