Ralphie Boy is offering a heck of a deal. Farm/ranch grade saw (much better than homeowner grade) for 1/2 the cost of new, + free helmet and chaps that could save you 10's of 1000's in medical bills. A very capable saw. After seeing a few pics/video, I'd jump on that.

The chaps for what ever brand you buy start around $50 usually. The helmet is an easy $20-30. That saw used is an easy $250 in decent shape.

Basically I am saying the saw for $200 is worth it. New it is $400 give or take

That's a sweet deal, the saw itself is worth 300 plus.

Wow.. That is a great deal with the extras.

As noted by several, if the OP doesn't grab it? Someone will. A 455 used to be my biggest saw and I loved it. I wouldn't mind one again! ;)

Got a UTV? Felling wedges (for when the saw gets pinched)? Logging chains and/or straps? Tractor? Snatch block and cable? Beer for later? Trailer for the truck/UTV? Toilet paper?............:hair::hair::hair:

I'm out of town for a few days so I can't post pictures of the saw and gear at the moment. If you haven't purchased a saw locally I'll post on my return, around the first part of next week. If SeanG doesn't want the saw, same deal, plus shipping, for anyone else.:dex::saw:

Mostly used canola oil from the fryer, with less than 10% new ATF.This batch was quite dark.Used up what I had then went back to 100% new canola after a few cuts.

Canola oil as bar oil, I'm interested, how does that compare to store bought bar and chain oil?

I cut all my wood for a few years with a 4218. I never tuned it and used any 2t oil that was handy. Needless to say that saw died an early death from my ignorance. My wife bought me that saw and I have since rebuilt it and have another one on my work truck. Now that I know how to tune and am running a good oil I hope to get lots more use from it.
