I broke my neck. 3 1/2 months ago. Vehicle wreck. Been reflecting on life since I was a kid, but more lately. I'm as right as rain, waiting for the doc to release me for work. Got lucky. Cut more wood.
I hope you heal up stronger than ever fox9988! Ease back into it gradually and give your body a little more time to heal. Real glad you are doing better man, and keep us posted on the wood cutting.
Fox, you are right on...........we're here for a short time, so live life to the fullest and enjoy each day. Good luck on your continuing recovery.
congrats on your recovery, it definitely changes your outlook on life. I had a quad bypass in 2009, 47 years old, I take nothing for granted and am going to try to do everything I can. Any day can be the last.
My wife said it best when she was battling breast cancer 14 years ago. She said " we are all surrounded by these invisible exit doors & we never know when we will step thru one" I say make the most of every day & be ready to meet our maker. Fox, glad to hear that you have recovered.... Just like my wife.
Glad you're ok! I used to ride sportbikes pretty stupidly on the streets. I surpassed my skill level one day and lowsided going around a blind curve doing 70 or so. I came out without a scratch, but as I was sliding across the pavement I watched my bike slam into a water main, flip 10 feet in the air and hit a tree, and then slam down 5 feet from me completely mangled. I realized right then how fragile life is, as there could have been a car coming the other way run over me, or I could have hit the water main and broke my back, or my 430lb bike could have landed on me as opposed to next to me. Live life to the fullest, but do it smartly!!!
I have been legally dead twice, its not pretty, actually it was very pretty. Got to see my Mom and some relatives that have already passed. I was still born and during my bypass, I have a feeling I might not be so lucky on Number 3.
