I hope they have a lift gate! I borrow a friends tractor. But the problem is I dont think there is enough lift on the loader to lift it out of a big trailer/van. And they dont have a set of forks.

My tractor has a boom pole but its at my farm and probably doesnt have the lift necessary either.

Definitely curb side delivery. The guy didn't even want to get it out of the road and into the end of the driveway.

He said $10 and he'll put it in my garage. I didn't have any cash so I told him I'd figure it out. He must have felt bad for me because it made it into my garage on his pallet jack.

All I had to offer in return was a thank you.

I'm just like most of the rest of us, I would have figured it out, but I'm glad I didn't have to. He wouldn't even back into the driveway to turn around. He backed up my dead end road for nearly a mile, over the railroad tracks (in reverse), then backed into a very busy road. Not sure why he didn't just go up to the turn around that was 1/4 mile in front of him. Lol

Right where I want to be.
When mine was delivered, I was prepared to deal with getting it from the road to the house by myself, then into the house with help.
The truck had a liftgate, and the driver asked me where I wanted it. I told him down the drive (maybe 40-50'), where the GT and a strap was waiting.
We pulled the stove on his pallet jack to the tractor, I said thanks a lot, and he was on his way.
I was very surprised, because the drive and walkway were nothing but ice.

We might have a problem rolling down my drive unless his pallet jack is an off road model!!

It is asphalt but its crumbling and has dirt spots but worst is its shedding its gravel out of it so there is little rocks all over it. I know from my work in retail stores operating pallet jacks, they dont like to roll at least on smooth concrete if you even hit something the size of a BB.

Solid, dry, gravel. I do understand it is their policy, but it was kinda funny watching him back up so far.

Me I would of went to the turn around. Or asked you what's the best way to turn around?

How did y'all roll the pallet jack through gravel?? Push and pull and just drag it?

We just pulled it. It rolled better than I would have expected. I had some very fine crushed asphalt put down last year that compacted quite well so I'm sure that helped.

I think this is a seasonal sale where they sell out inventory and charge full price again next year. Why not get one during the sale?

Well you found it. Go to the HD site and use the zip code 81303 and the sale price will populate.

If youre waiting for a local sale good luck. Maybe a strive store will have a sale? The HD thing I think is certain stores that just want to move more inventory. My store around me have no stoves in stock nor have the sale price.

And unless HD has to sell so many stoves they pre order from England stove there not actually in their possetion so there not coming from a warehouse. My stove got on the road last night I believe. South east freight lines got the shipping paperwork friday and it is shipping from england stove works in virginia.

Thats crazy that changing the store is all it takes. Literally saves me $300 from getting it delivered from my nearby store.

I am not sure of they have to be in stock at the local store but my guess is not. They ship them from the Englander factory so I would think they would just put it on an HD truck or ship to store if you happened to live near a store that had a sale zip.

So I went online. It told me my store what whatever one was in my area and when I found the stove it was $899. Went to change store and entered that sale zip and it instantly dropped to $649. I did notice that two were in stock at the sale location (least thats what the site said). I then put it in my cart and selected ship to my home address. I had to pay the $99 freight for that option but like I said I could of had it delivered for free to the store though. I paid my local sales tax and that was it.

Looked this mourning and it said the truck with my stove was is charlotte NC so its close. Not sure of layout ears or routes so I am not sure when it will her here?

Like I said I really suspect this is a way to drive sales for a certain store or maybe HD says we will sell 500 units a hear and by March maybe they have only sold 350 so they need a way to sell those other 150 units that there obligated for??? I dont know I am just thinking out loud. But like I said its not like out shipped from an HD warehouse in Arizona or anything.

I should have removed this part from my reply,(Did you have to confirm that model was instock near your delivery store) because I don't think so but I don't even really know:)
