The only thing I did today was resplit my neighbors wood for him, I'll always help him push his wood in, but this will be my last year resplitting his firewood.

You can't order your wood in July and then expect it to be seasoned come September.

More branch cleanup today. I'll start the fire pit again today. All of yesterday's ash ashes are evenly dispersed as last lawn fertilizer. It's windy here.:dennis:

I picked up a ton of debris from the yard today.

Slung some slop on the quads with my BIL...hosed it down and changed the oil this evening.

Gonna try to till the garden this week and get the early seeds planted...and get the oil changed and blades sharpened on the orange beast. Supposed to be 74 tomorrow.

Campinspecter and I went out to get a load of firewood. No snow on the mountain tops around here so we hope it won't be too dry of a summer. I know, no pics or it didn't happen. Maybe tomorrow.

My son and I finished the insulation, and started on the sheet rock. First board up. Took my measurements, and put them on the board. Went for my 3 mile daily walk. Came back home and wife had chicken parm. ready for dinner. After dinner I went back over my measurements, and they are just not working out properly. The roof is slanted in this room, and I am confident that the floor is not level. After putting in the first piece of sheetrock, I measured the angle of the ceiling for the next board. If that first board is out of level, I suspect I have the angle right, but not when you take into account the bottom piece of sheetrock probably is at a slight angle. Think I am going to cut the angle of the roof and hold it up so that my son can mark this sheet where it needs to be cut.

Spent the weekend deep behind the "cheddar curtain" in the fox river valley. Absolutely no snow at all left anywhere near that area! Did some gas piping for someone that just hooked up to natural gas and needed the meter hooked up. Converted the boiler from LP to NAT and the homeowner is saving as we speak!
Interesting enough, they had just filled their LP tank 2 weeks earlier and told me he checked the level on Thu and found a surprising 20% level.....seems the fill valve is leaking. They called the supplier, they came out and couldn't find anything. I think the delivery/service guy leaves a little to be desired as the leak is obvious and was told exactly where it was as he was talking to the homeowner on the phone while he was on site.

    Figures.

Whats the differences between LP and NAT gas, as far as the burner setup goes Dave? I always thought they were close to the same thing.

Huge decision today==Go to optional professional development and get paid OR spend all day running errands and spending it outside on my pile and with my dogs. Did I mention it is supposed to be 83 here today?!!:dex:

Usually natural gas has different orifices...and a different pressure regulator.

Yep. When LPG expands to a gas it has about 2.4x the BTU per volume as NG (something like 2400-2500 BTU/ft3 vs. 1000 BTU/ft3). Because of that you have to change all the nozzles when converting a natgas appliance to LPG to lower the flow rate at the burner. For example my kitchen range came with 2 sets of orifices, one each for LPG and NG.
