Between the lousy cold weather and the reoccurring snow, today was the first decent day that I could play on the log pile. Bucked up about 1/3 of the load of Oak logs I had gotten last November. Didn't want to get to stupid the first day out as I have been sitting on my fat arse all winter and will ease back into it. Felt good though watching the Husky chew through that oak.
Can tell by the weight of the blocks that this oak probably is about 40% m/c. No problem though as it is going to be stacked out in the sun where the breeze can have at it for a couple of years.

Good for you Rotti. Sounds like we both got out today but you worked harder than I did.

No WW. I goofed. When I came in I was just a little hungry and foolishly grabbed a piece off a pecan log roll. Methinks those nuts tore some skin in my throat going down. Just finished a cough drop and now will go gargle. Doc gave me some stuff that will numb it when I gargle.

I finally got out to do something, without sinking 8" into the mud, for the 1st time today. Felt good, but also took it slow and easy. I have become a pig in the last month or so. Food, beer, and sitting on my arse, watching the snow....and then rain. Not as bad here as lots of other places, but it was a bit abnormal for East Tennessee. Looking forward to getting my game back. Very blessed that I had wood to burn, while on my arse. Thankful for that!

I didn't do much but I did something, went out and moved some wood around and brought some up to the porch rack because I hear we're going to have some temperatures in the teens next week at night  :shiver:

    Good job rotti!

Bring the bus by your house, have the passengers give you a hand with wood splitting and stacking, THEN take them home.
