Can shoulder season be over now?

    I'll say one thing. With the new Fireview in the main living area I am going through a LOT less wood. Today I just noticed I put a full load in last night around 10:30PM, then I put a small load (maybe half full, about 5 small splits) in this AM about 8:00 as I let it run way down to small coals and ash, since I knew it wasn't getting that cold today.

    Well, it got to 43 degrees here, and I'm looking at those 5 scrawny splits I put in this morning.. it's 77 here in the main room, 68 on the far end of the house (over the garage) it's 200'F on the stove top and I'm letting it run down again.

    Small fires are the way to go with this Fv. I am not used to a stove I have so much control over, either with the amount of wood and the draft control I have far more control than that Monster in the living room I used to have. It did it's job, but this but this Fireview is such a pleasure in comparison.

    Nope, I'm in the "northern lower", but I'm in the lake effect belt. Dennis, however, is in the tropics.

    Growing up, I remember deer hunting in PA &
    WV with snow & cold weather.
    Was back there a few years ago & we played golf mid Dec.
    Different climate now for sure.

    We did have 1 winter here that the temps never went below Zero,
    1 in over 30 years :zip:

    Dave it was 51* today had 35 - 50 members playing golf today and this is day 2 of PA gun season go figure. I was outside working in shorts :thumbs:

    Well Dave, we've had snow. Today, ice.... Tomorrow, rain. Then back to winter but the storm is supposed to miss us.
