In order not to hijack this thread even further, getting back to the original post, you should have grabbed two cigars when you went to the house...maybe she would like one herself!!
Not that great. It would be good for a smaller shop. My shop is 900 sq ft with a 12 ft ceiling. When it get really cold not big enough. Gonna retire ina few years. Then going to upgrade wood furnace In the house with a better one and move the daka out to the shop. Gotta lot of projects planned for retirement. Need awarm shop.
That being said if you had a small shop the barrel stove is the cheapest way to go and would do a good job.
nh wood ,your shop is fantastic,i would enjoy it to i also like the your area i have a friend in fitzwilliam and when i visit it hurts to leave and come home
