I went out early this morning and started a brush pile burning. Took time to drive around the woods a bit and there was not one spot I could not have been there cutting firewood. The morning air was perfect too. However, it is extremely rare for me to work on Sundays so I just thought about it. Just as well as I'm too weak anyway. Been fighting a strange thing all week and still can hardly talk. Swallowing has been a really painful ordeal all week but it has been some better today so maybe this week I can get something done. I think the first thing will have to be pruning of fruit trees and raspberries though rather than wood cutting. Or maybe I'll even get the splitter out.

Forgo the work (for now) and rest up and get feeling better before you do anything. Dr. Whitey's orders!!

Well I did go back and push all the junk into what is left of the fire before coming in. No chance for the fire to spread either as it is still rather wet but hardly any snow there by the brush pile.

I usually don't like to work on Sunday either, but I did manage to finish covering what I have stacked.

Then got the V-Star out and took her for a little run on the parkway just to make sure everything was working ok:whistle: did have to give it a jump start, I've been starting her every week or 2 but it kinda got shoved to the back of the garage since January to make room for the tractor and snowblower. Nice day for a ride but the wind is fierce today. I'm gonna start riding to work Monday I hope, if this weather holds, and give the Silverado a break.

I hope you feel better soon!

Dennis if you need a hand with any cutting/splitting this spring just let me know. I figure if I keep putting it out there you may take me up on it at some point. :)

Backwoods, you take it easy when you have to. It's that time in your life that it will be happen frequent, so go with it. We had nice weather all last week (above freezing every day) and it looks like this week will be mild also with just barely above freezing.
The work will be there for when you feel better/stronger. Hello to the "Ornery one"! :D

It was a good day here too Sav, other than the ground is pretty saturated. I didn't even think about doing wood today after y-day. Crawled around in the attic of my garage rewiring all day y-day so I worked real hard after church today at getting a big nap then did manage to wash the vehicle and clean my mess up from y-day. Hope you feel better as the week progresses

Today was a good day for riding for me too. Took a short ride on my Vision to warm the engine then did an oil change and filter clean and ended up with another ride just to make sure I had no leaks. I clean my filter instead of a change because I have one of those K&P filters.
