20º this morning with wind. There was a good bit of wind throughout the night. Ash burning in the boiler. I hope the wind dies down. I'd like to do something outside today.

44f in Indiana, it's nice out. We've only burned about 7 splits from the HBK in the last 2 days. No fire today, as it's supposed to hit 60 today.
Finally a chance to clean up the front yard and stack a little more wood on the front porch. Wifey made me laugh yesterday acting alarmed because the front lawn stacks are dwindling away to nothing. This is according to plan, so I can have my lawn back early enough in the spring to repair this winter's damage.
There IS more, just not staged up. She's so funny.

Was nice out today. 40 in the sun. But it is down to 25 already. Now they are saying going to 10-ish over night. Ash and some mixed blend pellets in the boiler.

    That's cold, Gasifier!
Probly topped out near 62 here today, still about 57 now. Might start a fire later, supposed to make it down to about 35F overnite.

Last night we just burned the pellet stove, about half a bag, tonight will be some cherry with some ironwood in the liberty.

Since the warmer weather came in we have some water in certain areas that make it hard getting to the wood with the sled, we've had some colder weather which firmed up the trails so I'll give it a go with the rhino tomorrow, it will either work or I'll be up past the axles in snow.

This is what we need ,to help dry up the mud :dennis:
    Saturday
Partly sunny, with a high near 48. Breezy, with a west northwest wind 9 to 14 mph increasing to 17 to 22 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph.

Right now it is too warm for a fire, and too cold to not have a fire.

    I agree on that one!

I have just a small fire going now "with a window open" so I don't have to start a fresh one tonight. Call me lazy :)

Too cold at night not to have a fire and too hot during the day right now.

They've changed us to a forecast of snow/ice/rain, possibly starting tonight, and going off and on until Sunday. Temps have also been modified slightly higher. We were forecast for night lows on succeeding days of: 14F-13F-6F-12F-8F-15F-11F-16F-22Fthen on the 23rd 43 during the day (first day above freezing) and on the 24th night low of 32.
Now, it is only going down to 30 tonight.
Doesn't seem to be much point looking more than a day or so ahead.
Have just started a small fire, will add some wood about 8, and let that burn down overnight.

I haven't had a fire here in over a week. It was cold last Thursday, but I was up north snowmobiling. When we got back Sunday evening, it was already decently warm, and its been downright balmy here. 66 today.
After Tuesday it's going to drop to highs in the 40s for a few days. I'll start the fireplace Tuesday night until it gets into the 50s again for highs.

We're around 31 tonight so we'll be loading the Liberty with some Cherry.

Wood we have left outside that was planned for burning for 2014/15.

Cherry / .61 of a cord or 2 NY Face

Hemlock / .61 of a cord or 2 NY Face

Ironwood / 4 days worth maybe more.
