One thing about being home with lots of time on the computer, I managed to go another two generations back on my grandson's genealogy. I am back into 1669 in Pennsylvania.

Ancestry.ca has a lot of Quaker meeting minutes and in Solesbury, Buckingham, Penn somebody went and transcribed them to digital records. these minutes are very complete and gave me two generations back farther. Unfortunately the families moved to Ontario, Canada and there isn't as much available. I tend to want to follow down the family trees as well as back. I can get really far out on some branches - out to the twigs so to speak. Another find was Google Books. Occasionally if I am up against a brick wall, I will google the name I am looking for. I found a book written by a member of the family in 1887. this person had taken the trouble to document all the family back to the first confirmed member in the US. For what ever reason, someone digitized it and put it in Google Books.

I've heard many people that have traced relatives back to being brought over on the Mayflower...After a little exstrapolating, it appears the Mayflower had 36,253 passengers and they all landed in New Jersey and hiked over to PA!! :D

My family on both sides can only be traced back 2 generations before me in the states...bunch of coal miner immigrants From Scotland and Germany. The native Americans didn't keep real good records either.

Sorry, she's my younger Chocolate lab ( 10 years old). I just got home. She had to stay there. She's got a severe case of uterus infection, that's starting to work on the kidneys. Not good... She's going to get IV & antibiotics for the next two days. Then hopefully she'll get spayed. & more antibiotics. This is her best shot...:(...
