We hit 40s today here too. Birds are chirping, snow is melting and the sap is flowing! Only about a gallon or so today, but the next 2 weeks are supposed to be perfect sugaring weather!
I had pancakes w/ "......" this morning.... Your too funny, wildwest! Just for grins and giggles, I'm gonna say every bucket, recycled container, and any other off hand vessel posted in the next few weeks will pertain to syrup.... I admit tho, I thought there was something "fishy" about that jug! Eric VW
Oh, you were responding to the spring! Don't I feel dumb ! But regarding, the pic of "spring around the corner" u and my wife had basically the same response.... Eric VW
I didn't register either the bucket or the spring No worries, things go over my head (we need a smiley for that!) and frankly I find it funny in the end. Thrilled you got a giggle out of it too. Yep if anything I am silly, have at it friend!
I am ready for the mud to dry. When it gets close, the rain starts...again. I want to cut firewood, without slip sliding away!
Yep, spring is here. All of our snow will be gone in 2 days or so. It will be upper 40's and a 55 degree day here, with only a couple nights dropping below freezing. Our spring bulbs are starting to come up in some areas.
We've had an extended cold spell here. Lots of snow, temps in teens and single digits. A few days ago, the thaw came, this morning it was 41. Though I am down to my last ten splits that was allotted to this season, I am going through a sort of withdraw. I am glad not to have the mess and the soot and the endless loading, yet I cannot help but hope for another cold spell...just one more, that's all...
SPRING FEVER! That's my fire pit the boys are wrestling on top of, notice the bench in the background and the picnic table behind that.
I like the Winter, this one was rough with snow & ice though. I'll miss the wood stove, like an old friend you say farewell to for awhile. But I have a firepit and only grill over coals now so that is a great thing!
Our bluebirds disappeared after last years harsh winter, we're hoping that some will be here this spring, but kind of doubtful. The dreaded red winged blackbirds are here though. Time to stop filling the feeders.
