I did a quick search on here and couldn't find where anyone had posted this information yet. I used this site to locate a gas station in Lexington, KY that sells non ethanol gas and it is now the only place I buy gas for my chainsaws, string trimmer, blower, mower ect... I hope this helps a few folks out who have struggled to locate non ethanol gas. http://pure-gas.org/ -William
That is a great site and helped me track down the locations near me not to long ago. A great tool for those who are looking
I've seen this site previously, from my experience with snowmobiling sites. Seeing this site again, I quickly updated some stations that had inaccurate/ old data.
I was for a while looking too, then I just threw in the towel and ordered 10 gallons of VP94 Now, its all just
Use the site while travelling a lot. Were lucky in Canada with some grades of major suppliers being E-Free wherever you go. I like to stick to Shell V-Power, Costco 91 and Ultramar 91 here in Ontario. Also, most pumps are designed with 1 hose for 3 grades of fuel where regular is 10% E, High-Test is E-Free and Mid grade is a mix of High and regular or about 5% E. With the 1 hose setup, unless the person before was pumping high-test, there is likely still Non E-Free gas in the hose. If I'm filling up a Jerry Can for small engines, I usually pump a gallon or two into my vehicle first to make sure that all that goes into the can is E-Free. I also have a Shell station near me that has a dedicated Shell V-Power only pump that I like to use.
Not so quick. The two place I get E-free from here are not on that site. Try a marina, E-10 is a No-No in boat motors.
Unfortunately the Nazi's that run NY state don't agree, and have made selling non E gas illegal in NYS for any reason. Yes, my last boat had twin 200 hp Yamaguchi's on it, I had fun cleaning out the internal filters and injector pumps every few months from clogging.....
We have 90 octane "R.E.C." Non ethanol about 10 mins from home... Tho, it's about 40 cents more a gallon. I get 6 gallons every couple months. Probly need to go after some more often, now that I'm up to 3 saws!!! Eric VW
That happened in Oregon as well. No E0 gas here, until we screamed to the state legislature about all the marine engine damage from E10. So they now allow Eo Supreme gas here again now, which is what I use in all my 2-stroke engines. Its about 50 cents more a gallon though.
I guess I've got it good compared to most of you, I have 4 stations within 10 miles of me that sell non E fuel and it only runs about 25 cents a gallon more. I did a test on my Jeep( Cherokee 4.0 auto. With 3" lift an 31-10.50-15 tires)about 2 years ago, ran 4 tanks of E gas through it and then 4 tanks of nonE gas, after crunching the numbers the mileage was enough better with nonE gas that I could pay a dollar more a gallon before I reached the break even point on money spent on gas.
I have found similar results with my ecoboost. Cost more but go farther, and it's better for the engine.
I now have two Yanmar oil burners in my boat. But the idiots now make me pay both highway tax, and marine fuel tax on top of the already overly federally taxed marine diesel fuel. This ends up $1 higher than 91 gas at the pump. THANKS GUBERMENT! He gave me a link to Grainger on LI recently and I checked, it was about $25 a gallon. Forget that nonsense! Oh the marine industry went nuts here for 2 years, but NYS didn't give a hoot! Pretty much every single outboard on LI had problems the 1st two years until everyone installed 10micron secondary fuel filters and worked all the water and hence "goop" (water mixed with e gas turns to "goop") out of their fuel system. But it still reeks havoc. How is that possible? Is it on the VT side of river or something?
Grainger (page 1418, about $110.00) or direct through VP dealer Expect to pay over $100 for 5 gallons
No clue. Small Marina, can't even get to the above ground gas to buy it in the winter. Too much snow! LOFL!
I find it very telling that here in Omaha we 37 stations that sell non ethanol gas. While we have several LARGE ADM ( Archer Daniels Midland ) plants turning corn into alcohol nearby. So sorry for you guys that are forced to buy gasohol! I prefer my corn turned into steaks!
