I am a fan of lo pro 3/8" as far as speed. But durability is in full comp 3/8" for firewood.

16" would be my preference on 50 cc as well.

Carlton/Windsor Speed-tips are very good bars, have 6 or 7 now, I run 16"-3/8 on one 346, 18"-.325 on another & 16"-.325 on another. Like em all, but the 18" works best for me.

I initially bought my 550xp with an 18", but found that the bar got in my way more than it helped so I put a 13" on it recently. I've only run 2 tanks through it with that bar, but so far I"m loving it! It's incredibly nimble now, and I rarely cut anything over 10" with it anyway, so I haven't lost anything with the shorter bar. I prefer to put the limb as close to the dogs as possible when I cut, so reach doesn't mean anything to me.

I have .325 nk chain on both bars.

I just switched over from .325 to 3/8" on my ported 346 and am running an 18 Sugi for general firewood duty. I'll eventually pick up a sugi 15" for limbing and cants at GTG's.

    I've not seen one. I have a 16" .325 & a 18" 3/8". The speed tip I posted above is a 16" 3/8 & is every bit as good as a Sugi, but half the price.

I run 20" 3/8 chisel on my 455. I prefer to use chains that are interchangeable with my large mount huskies.

I got setup with a oregon prolite 16" .325 .050 bar for 34.00 and a loop of 20lpx chain. If I don't like it I will mount it on the 2141.

Cutting weight, use and abuse, I think the pro-lite bar should be fine.

Now, I just need to find some time to finish the 346xp build.

The pro-lites are fine and work well on 50-60cc saws. I have a couple with a bunch of hours on em.

Ughh it's turning into a beauty pageant of Japanese bars!

As good as any bar is all it takes is one felling job gone wrong to wreck a 28" Tsumura bar. Happened two weeks ago, might as well have been a forester or xyz knock off bar. Makes a guy rethink sometimes if 100.00 + dollars is worth it sometimes when the net is a truck load of wood and a wrecked 28" bar. I've put plenty of laminate bars in the press to straighten em.

I have not ran it enough to tell, the weather has not cooperated. I ran one tank through it and switched from semi chisel to full chisel. I'm working on my 3rd tank now. I like how fast it is.
