Wow! Kinda' glad the Thanksgiving Holiday is over. Did the double Brooklyn run twice, down to get my daughter and her pup. Stayed over in NYC Monday/Tuesday and went into the city on Tuesday as she was working. Went to B&H camera and bought myself a new Canon 60D camera and another tripod. Brought her and her dog home and we had a great Turkey day, my son came with his wife everyone helped with the meal.

Then yesterday brought my daughter and her fiance and her dog back to Brooklyn and came home all in the same day. About 220 miles each way, and not a fun drive. Made it home about 8PM yesterday.

Like I said.. nice, but it's nice when life gets back to normal, but that doesn't really happen till after the Xmas/New years week for us which is only 3.5 weeks (that's 3 week-ends) away!

I was stuck working in Manhattan on Tuesday last week. Finished up around 4pm and got loaded and on the streets by 4:20. Experienced the worst traffic jamb of my life. 6 or so blocks to the Holland Tunnel took over 3 hours. Did I mention I really don't like going into NYC?

Right! ...they take the bus sometime if they can get a dog sitter, but I needed to go into the city once anyway. I am trying to stay young though!

It can be so bad that if you had it you'd crawl around on the floor on your hands and knees instead of walking.

Convinced the old lady to move her sewing machine out of the dining/ hearth room and into the laundry room of the basement. Her fabrics and such kept spreading out, now she will have room to let them and I won't have to trip over them. Planning to make another video tomorrow, you definitely won't be seeing a sewing machine in it.

Dam. Your up early too Jack. Enjoy that extra room.

I am going to get a little exercise this morning moving some wood into the basement. Then it's clean up time and off to work.

Dad sent home one of those corn planter plates that I am getting oiled up and conditioned for use as a trivet. Got the stone in the oven warming up for another couple fruitcakes. Got the batter all together in the pan and waiting, all on film.

Been a long one today. 12 hours and then after saying good night to kiddos I just got back from checking on the pellet stove at camp. Stove was out but still 50 in the camp. Pellets were not near the auger and she ran out. A good cleaning and filling it is back in business.
