It was snowing when I drove to softball practice last night. Took the wife's Ford Explorer. My VW Jetta TDI has snow tires on it, and operates great in the snow, but I need her car for the softball equipment bags. Arrived right at 7pm, and there was about an inch on the ground. When I came out of 9:30pm, there was a little over 2" on the ground. They were calling for up to 8" last night. However; it cut over to rain earlier than they expected. Ended up with a ton of rain instead of snow.

If we get any amounts of rain this spring, we will be in for epic flooding again.

Major flooding has started here, good to be on the hill as it doesn't bother us at all. Were in a 2-12" area, my guess is 6... Will be a fun drive to work. Happy to rely out the new toes to the test, so far they have exceeded my expectations.

Flooding is next. Keep your sump pumps in working order. While I want this deep snow gone, I also hope it goes slowly. The frost is set in hard so the melting snow can only run off and flood.

Where I live, it's supposed to be upper 30s to close to 50 a couple days all through the 10 day forecast. Mid week it's supposed to have a low of 33 degrees, so not even freezing.

Sump pump runs all year long here. Yes, we're on a hill...just the wrong end of the hill!

Just have to relax a bit on those drives.
Cell phone in one hand, coffee mug in the other, and don't cramp up while steering with your knee.
Seem's to work with every other (*ahem*) driver I deal with on my commute.
    Stay safe.

9.5 inches of snow and it is still falling this morning. Tonight we are supposed to set some record breaking low temp. I am so over and done with this crap and I seriously hope this is the last time I have to plow out the driveway this winter.

For the first time I ever remember they called a level 3 in out county meaning you aren't allowed to drive unless you are emergency workers. They said they needed everyone off the roads until at least 10 am so they can try to do something with them.

We had serious flooding here yesterday. Tons of roads were flooded and the Ohio was coming over the banks in some places. And then it froze all that rain over and started snowing on top. What a mess!

Woke at 4:30am and there was a light dusting. By the time my youngest gets on the bus, there was a good 2". Time to get dressed and drive the wife to work. It's still snowing now.

The told me that next weeks temps are going to be in the 40's. Much needed warmer weather. I'm not going to get to my log lengths before we start playing softball in April. That is if we can get on the fields. Might be too wet and muddy.
