Got that covered already. Found an almost mint early 80's one with 16" bar on CL locally in July 2013 for $40 (estate storage unit or garage clearout). Just 2-3 tanks of fuel through it,someone broke the rope & it sat dry for almost 30 yrs.It saw more use in the next 24 hrs than the previous 30 years.Soon after I swapped the 16" bar for a spare 20".Even after a year & a half of use I could easily get $150 for it since its so nice.

Much nicer than the one I bought new in '92,beat to death for 8 years & sold as a 'parts saw" (still ran like a raped ape though) in 2011.

My ProMac 610 is still going strong. Late '70's-early '80's vintage................Dad can't remember when he bought it. Hundreds, if not thousands of cords cut with this bad boy.

i've kept a mac 610 or timberbear in my stable of saws for years, i still think the timberbears run better even though they're 3.4ci and the 610's at 3.7ci, thinking the timberbears may have a smaller combustion chamber, not sure, but my now sold s/e puke brown/gold bear was a damm good runner that brought home many a cord of firewood, i still have a very nice low hour 610 that comes out on occasion..............
