We've got 2"of sleet falling heavily right now, with heavy rain tonight, some freezing, on and off tomorrow before switching back to snow tomorrow afternoon through Thursday, dropping up to 8" of fresh snow.

Will this be the last hoorah?

I am hoping some. Supposed to hit about 12 tomorrow, but by this weekend it's all 40s and 50s on the ten day.

It can't last much longer WS.
It looks like flash flooding might be our next problem.
Saw some water ponding in a place we usually don't see it on the road here . Might get ugly!
Forecasting 50* in about a week to ten days:yes:

Long range puts this cold cycle ending soon. 40's and 50's next week. Flooding is probably going to be an issue. Winter can leave as far as I am concerned. I spent a few hours shoveling a 4' drift off my shop roof at work. We will finish the rest tomorrow. I need a break from this.

I will love winter when I don't have to go to work, commutes in Iowa winter suck.

Not yet. The warmest I see over the next 7 days is 40º. And that is 7 days off. I will believe it when I see it. Going down to 3º F tomorrow night and -5º F Thursday night.

We should have an absolute mess by morning if it happens to rain a lot. I busted a pulley tonight moving all this heavy chit..... I was worried it would freeze solid by after work tomorrow making it impossible to plow.

Yep it's gonna be nasty moving this stuff tomorrow for sure. My property is already a muddy, slippery mess. You add 4-8" on top of that and it's not gonna be fun. Yesterday I almost got stuck in my side driveway :picard:Guess i should've fixed those mudholes BEFORE winter hit. Now that driveway is pretty much a lake.

We can still get a lot of snow up here in march. Since it was so cold in Jan and Feb with only 12" of snow, my bet is that it will be warming up with a lot of mixed-bag weather. They say the great lake ice being so much more this year, will contribute to a late cool spring in our part of the continent.

Today it might hit 40, first time since Jan something. Then the weather guesser says "except the coast where it will be cooler", that is a sure sign of spring.

I'm betting we got over 2" of rain last night.....it poured cats and dogs!!

Supposed to get 4-8" overnight into tomorrow evening, my sled is ready and I'm ready to tap trees. I'd like the snow to stick around because I love winter, but even I'm ready for Spring!!

Starting to get the itch to cook outside and I have a pile of tree jobs lined up, just gotta have the weather cooperate a little......
