Tonight my son decided he wanted to go to bed early and "read with dad" which was nice... sister stayed downstairs doing puzzles with mom and I went up and read with him for a half hour.

His favorite "book" to read these days is the Bruder trucks toy catalog that came with his Christmas present... its so cute he just goes through it page by page "dad I want that tractor! Dad I want that firetruck! Dad I want that combine harvester! Dad I want the excavator! Dad I want the crane truck!". then we read some space books.

These are the days I wish they would stay 4 years old forever :tears:

btw concretegrazer if you have never seen them you have to look up Bruder toys... you could probably get toy versions of every machine you have at the farm for your little ones...

For those of you that have not had fresh cheese curds, it's all squeaky right away, but only remains squeaky until it is refrigerated. Once refrigerated, the squeaky aspect goes away. They taste the same, but don't squeak when you bite into them.

One of my cousins got married last fall, over on Sparta WI. My aunt bought a bunch of Westby curds as a snack at the reception. She probably bought 50 lbs. Omg....beer and curds, and an camp shelter with a great fireplace that we had roaring. Fun times.

So, took my little guy to his first swimming lesson tonight, got done and where in the locker room changing... my phone rings in my coat pocket, the ring tone is from Stihl a throaty saw revving... my boy looks at me and whispers "daddy your saw" just say yeah and continue changing... phone keeps ringing and my boy is just looking at me, rings one last time and my boy shouts "daddy you get wood?" I'm half way through changing, so still half nude... A buddy of mine was on the next bench just busting a gut laughing.... kids say the darnedest things... and with impeccable timing!

Bruder toys rock! Got my one year old a skid steer, bull dozer and backhoe loader for Christmas. Well made little things. He knows them all by name too!

Second night where stove has over fired. Started glowing red last night. Apparently not a fluke, gotta check for air leaks when she cools a bit. The joys of wood burning.

Staring at a piece of trim that needs a compound mitre and I have to hand figure the angles. A couple more beers and I'll have it figured out.

Ha! I'll be the first to admit to using a piece of scrap for a compound mitre cut!

Well, I am up. It is 4:35 AM. Yesterday was the sickest I have been in a long time so I spent quite a bit of time sleeping. Now I am wide awake. Where is everyone?

People back east probably have a few things to do early in the morning than entertain me. LOL

You members have been taking a beating up there this year. Reminds me of my days in Buffalo. Its been a piece of cake as usual here in NE Ohio. Driving an Outback with "Have-a-fajita" performance snows on it (Nokian Hakkapeliitta).
