Compressor tanks make great grills. They are beefy that's for sure. Been trying to find an 80 gallon one myself.
I put the feelers out on social media asking for a trailer. Have three that I need to go take a look at this week. Once I get that I'll start to figure out what I need to do to mount the grills and make the grill surface and rod for the pig roaster.
My next grill after #5 dies will be a propane tank. I'm trying to get a local propane co. to sell me one, but they never give me an answer. I'm not sure but I think by law in this state they have to scrap them.
If you guys were closer I would sell you a 500 gal propane tank. Buddy gave me one just got to pick it up, gonna put it on Craigslist when I get time to get it.
Ours are just 3/4" steel box tubing and expanded metal. Thought about stainless steel expanded metal but steel was $75 a sheet and SS was $475 a sheet. Guess which one I got. It gets a little surface rust on it in spots over the winter. Its coated in pig grease the rest of the year.
I'm one step closer! Woohoo!!!! Went and picked up the oil tank and a trailer this past weekend. I put them on the trailer to test size and placement. Wow I'm excited to get this going!
