Ive noticed several pics lately of these 3-point hitch attachments to skid these logs - with a heavy metal block and some type of winch design? I've never seen these before and could really use that around here. Where would a person find something like that and what is it called?
Farmi used to make 3 point winches years ago, I have no idea I'd they are still in business. Where in VA are you?
I wondered where you were CG... so........ I'm bettin' that claw could grab 6 of those "twigs" at a time?
Wow, that looks familiar!! 1972 Wheelhorse GT14. Built and runs like a Russian TANK, only it was made right here in the USA! Wish somebody (ford?) would make a TRUCK that lasted and ran like this thing!
They're pretty awesome aren't they?! I don't need a compact tractor (though I am jealous looking at the pictures here) and after a lot of research decided on a Wheel Horse for general work on my 3 acres. Parts are easy to get, there's tons of attachments, and they are built well. What's not to love?!!!
Are the forks you clamp on this bucket worth a hoot? Thought it wood be nice for lifting smaller logs up to cut, I only have a NH 1520.
Yep! I bought this thing after getting advise from guys around here (and the old site) when I was thinking about getting somekind of quad to drag wood out of the woods around my house. Was GREAT advice. and it does this to top it off:
That really throws the snow! It rarely snows enough here for me to justify a blower, so I went with a snow blade instead. Last week was my first real test with it when we got 12", but the little things cleared my driveway without a single issue! I've added 300lbs of weight though, and after I'm sitting on it there's about a half ton of weight to help push snow.
Here's my main mode of wood moving, the 763 Bobcat. I really, really need to get or build a grapple for it but it does well getting around in the woods. Pardon the filthy truck.
That's a 2002 model? Looks new. Or they haven't changed much since then. I've got a 2011 X500 and it's nowhere near that stout, I wouldn't think.
