Just Another Old Crappy Poulan

I got these old things from Thomas1 when he came to visit a couple of weeks ago. Sorta hoped we could make something out of em.

 

I do have a few really good friends.......and one of them stepped up and sent me all these NOS parts.

 

So........Jon tore the 3750 down to the crank, and ran all the parts thru the ultrasonic parts washer.

Notice that this saw does not have a case gasket?

 

After he got the tank back on, he passed it to me for some grinding.

 

Now back on Jon's bench for the rest.



He does some pretty cool muffler work.

 

To get rid of the support cage I made these spacers on the lathe.

 

Check out the custom Husqvarna sled Jon fitted to the little Poulan.

 

Oh yeah......coming together now.

I almost forgot......

It's got a little extra compression. lol

 

Ready to kill some trees.

 

Still four stoking really well at this RPM. After a tank or two, we'll wind it on up a little more.

I've always heard Poulans are crappy. Thanks for confirming that for us.

 

The thread went bonkers, reloaded and see it now.
