    22f and a light load of elm in the princess, a slab of ash across the top. The elm is from the Hillbilly solar kiln, or HSK as we'll call it from now on. That elm goes up like matchsticks now. Supposed to commence with upwards of 7" of snow any minute now. Yay.

    We went back to the Cherry we were burning before the cold weather moved in, we will have enough Cherry to burn late into April, after that it's the Hemlock we have left.

    5ºF and half a load of Pine in the burn chamber. I slept in so long this morning it was completely empty with barely enough embers to stir up and start the Pine I set on top. But it made it without having to get the lighter out.:thumbs:

    Aaaaaa, that will be nice. When it's warm enough to put half a load in the boiler in the morning and again at night before bed.

    it's 31degF and icing out right now. Was supposed to be snowing until about 4am but looks more like an ice storm to me :confused: . Burnin some somersets in the hastings and got a load of white oak and skid cut offs in the volcano. :fire:

    Same here -4.3 c Shut lil brother down last night, running on Black Betty only. Thank God for the break in the intense cold. Bordering on the 6.5 cord mark so far. Glad I had 10 in the shed.

    35 f today 33 f now, cherry in the basement Summit, 6 inches + of new snow today, melting some and still putting it down but feels like a heat wave out side. Was burning up in a hoodie this afternoon shoveling snow but I'll take it. :loco: :crazy:

    We're at 23 degrees so it's Cherry in the Liberty, we have some colder nights coming in so we have some nice ironwood for that.

    Our 39 with snow and freezing rain/ice forecast for Thursday has been gradually trending down. We are now at 29F high and snow. I'll take it.
    We don't see above freezing until next Sunday, currently forecast for 33 high.
