Ok, had to start the thread....

I put in 3 small splits last March, lit it up with a Super Cedar, and I checked this morning and it is still burning!

No, don't be rediculous! They do not grow tree's in the flue. However, since installing the Progress Hybrid, I have become "The Most Interesting Man" in the world.

You've got some soap on your stove as well, no?

How about a Soapstone CLOCK to go with the stove!! ;)

Actually, I filled the rack when I installed the stove last December, and that is what I have left after burning 24x7 all last winter. As you can see, I only took out a few peices from the top, which burned all winter. But truth be told, the splits I put in in March (which are still burning!) came directly from ourside.

That is one pretty install, Machria. Does the stone on the wall absorb heat and act like a masonry stove. Looks like yu have a lot of mass there to keep heating after the fire is out.

    I think it's for decoration.
The wood for this winter is probably already in the stove.;)

Getting there, wife and I moved her in and she pulled out the pallet as I tilted back the stove. Waiting for a shorter section of stove pipe. Furniture slides working great. Once I get my new section of pipe I'll mover so the pipe is plumb... Then add the ash grate, ash lip and ash pan parts, no sense in sliding that extra weight... Boy she sure is a beast compared to the Fireview I had.... Can't wait to see how she heats... Now I'll have two cook stoves, this and my Esse cook stove... Lots of simmer room now... Have to do my break in fires this coming week. Pipe will be here Monday or Tuesday...

What are those slides made of?
I put some similar under my stove to move on the new tiles, and then forgot they were there.
    They partially melted.
    Just an FYI.
    Love the stove.

    Papadave,
They are just foam on top and a hard plastic on the bottom... I'll remove them once I have the stove where it needs to be... I'll put a plumb level on the stove pipe and make sure it's good to go.. then slide the pipe up , tilt the stove left and right and have the wife slide them out.. Yes I'm really interested to see the difference from burning the Fireview.. Just going to make sure I take my time breaking it in.
