That's a much better vid than the one I'd seen Rotti. Isn't that thing awesome? It would work perfectly to get us to the cabin with a LOT less work than hauling the Suzuki there. I'm gonna get more info on this rig and consider a new direction. My pea brain is smokin'... I've learned a lot about tracks since 2009 and this rig puts all of the "tug" right where I could use it. Damm... Just found out that the creator, Yvon Martel, has been testing and tweaking these prototypes of the MTT-136 electric sled for 4 years. He's now looking for a manufacturer to build em. Raaaaaats. Whadda concept! There ya go Butcher ... they need somebody to make em.
I finally found a Canadian electric vehicle news org, that did a story about Yvon Martel. I sent them an email to see if they know where he is. There's been nothing on the net about this rig since Feb of 2014. I did find a FB page for a man of the same name, who apparently has died. Hope it isn't him, but it would explain the lack of any follow up info.

Tried it twice. Not a current address I guess. I did find a pic of this guy and he's not the guy who died (unless it was a very old pic). So, the mystery continues. Looks as tho Martel is pursuing military uses as well as just consumers. Interesting that DR took notice.
Yeah, its definitely new, as it just was brought up on a snowmobiling site. What I get the drift that this guy has prototypes, and they obviously work, and he is looking for manufacturers to make them. The thing is sweet. Hunters, hoarders, ice fishermen, construction firms. I can see a big demand for this. Being in Quebec, I'm shocked that bombardier hasn't jumped all over it. Puns intended
I like designing and that looks like a fun one. If I lived in snow country it'd be fun to try something along those lines. There was a guy in my parents neighborhood that had several rc tanks. The largest was about 4 feet wide and 6 or 7 feet long. If I was to start a project along the lines of a wood hauler with tracks, I'd look at the rc robotics and tanks. There's a large group of these guys with homemade designs. I think it might give some good ideas and starting points for anyone wanting to build a wood hauler on tracks. Didn't mean to carry on, just thinking. If I was one of you guys in snow country with design and welding skills, I'd give it some thought.
