Wood Good, Cold Bad

    Gang, this latest cold snap has me grateful to own a wood stove and have seasoned wood on hand. It hit -12 in NW NJ this morning, the coldest I've ever seen since moving here in 1974. regardless of what brand and model you own, there is peace of mind in being able to give Old Man Winter a kick in the b@lls. Oh, forgot to mention, cold beers are an exception. I've got three left out of a Guinness 4-pack in the fridge and in a few hours, it will be a zero-pack. :dex::yes::drunk::cheers::pete:

    Well stated golf. Here, our lowest has been -26. The house really cooled off that night. We got up to somewhere around 75 degrees in the house. That doesn't happen too often unless it is planned. It took a little longer to get 80 degrees back in the house that morning.
