    372 is usually $800ish at most dealers. A 461 is $1049 sticker with a 20 or 24".

They don't carry them at my local dealer. The 441cm I believe is $950. And i think the 461 is $100 more but don't quote me on that.

Now that I got my guage straightened out. Here's what she's pulling for comp. Should go up a little when rings get seated.

This is oak wood if you could tell. This saw is a beast. I need to find a bar adapter and strap a bigger bar on. The 24" is no match for this saw.

Looks like good gains. Seems to be able to push harder on it also. I think you're pretty close on a good work saw recipe.

I like the old 372's, but not a fan of the XT's..
I'd take a 7910 all day over the XT. Even if it was a little more expensive..

I wonder what would happen if you tossed a normal piston in the XT and gutted the divider?

    Hmmmm...
    Don't know..
But anything would be better than that 10 lb chunk of aluminum swinging up and down in there..

That might be something to try on one.

    372XT PHO= $850 plus porting and other interior work......................= $1200
    7910 ported PHO = $ 935 plus shipping................................................ = $980
    661 PHO =................................................................................................= $1100

I would take the 661 over all, especially since I know I can run a 48" no problems ................. heck, my 066 with a muffler mod has shown it has the bowls to run a 50" while noodling ................................... and my 661 is stronger than the 066.

For the money, I don't think a 661 can be beat, and the muffler modded 661 hangs with my ported 044 when bucking normal sized dropped trees.

You guys need to run a muffler modded 661 to see what I mean !!! :saw: :saw: :saw: :saw:

The only flaw I see your theory is the weight. The 461 , 7910 , 372 xt all weight a lot less and are much easier to handle all day cutting wood. I have an 066 know that never sees the light of day cause it's just as pleasant not to run. But I'm a wiener. Lol. The 70cc class is hard to beat as a firewood saw. Imho. But than again I probably use my 50cc just as much.

That's all fine and dandy, but you can buy a ported 2188 for $1100 plus shipping... Does a muffler modded 661 beat a ported 2188? image.jpg

The 1.5 pound difference can be a dealbreaker, good point.
    That's a good question Clint.
I don't want to take away from the intent of this thread, and see the danger ahead. The debate over which saw is best could go on and on.

Millermodsaws did a great job on this 7910, and I should not have started comparing the other saws ............ my mistake millermod, and I apologize.
