How do you use empty pellet bags?

Same as you, the occasional trash bag. Mostly they just get thrown out as is though.

 

Same here I use them as trash bags , I wish I could recycle them .

 

Use them up for leafs. Carry my empty beer cans to the beer store. Put other bags in. Yes, thrash bags scattered everywhere....

 

Some places make you pay an extra 5 or 10 cents to "encourage" you to recycle. The reality is it is just another tax. Here in MA it is 5.

 

Soda cans, bottles, 1iter 2itter as well.

 

I have a diet Mountain Dew addiction. Tried to go cold turkey a few weeks ago. Now the addiction is even worse.

 

They say artificial sweeteners are addictive...

 

I thought I was the only one who took empties back to the store in pellet bags. The automatic return machines get a bit upset if you have too many fines in the bag.

Other than empty cans, I use them for basement trash and hauling out the turds from the cat box. Last year I read about someone who used them for weed block. I plan on trying that this spring. Lord knows I have enough empty bags.

 

I remember when I was in B.C. a number of years ago. Went to a convenience store to buy some beer, walked around that store for a few minutes looking for it, finally asked the clerk where do you keep the beer? He looked at me funny and said you must be from the States! You have to go to the beer and wine store to buy beer, and i believe a liquor store to by booze as that is not in the beer store. That was a new one for me

 

We are lucky here, I can recycle them.

 

I got a similar look when on a business trip in Richardon, TX years ago. I had heard of dry counties, but not dry precincts. I stopped in a store and asked where the beer was and the guy looked at me like I was from Mars. I explained that I'm from Michigan, and I can buy beer at darn near every gas station I drive past. He told me to drive a mile down the road and then I could get whatever I wanted.

My first experience with having to go to a state liquor store was in Columbia Falls, MT. I didn't know you couldn't buy booze in a grocery store until the cashier at the store informed me.

Wonder if anyone ever wrote a book called 'The beer, wine and booze afficionado's guide to traveling'?

 

I think wood takes nitrogen out of the soil as it breaks down. Not 100% sure on that. I had a bag that got wet a few years ago and I dumped it out by the wood pile. Raked it a couple times and it disappeared.

 

My grandparents used to farm and with their empty bags they would cut 2inch strips and tie them on new fence lines that they had cattle being broke into a new field the cattle had a little bit of a sense of boundaries because they would see the plastic stringers hanging on the fence

 

I just did a job and have 11 super sacks in the dumpster. Wish i could find a use for them. 4x4x4 2340# each
