    Neat pic, huh?
New jeep Cherokee, not the trailhawk version, and most likely a 4 cylinder fwd one. I do like the awd v6 trailhawk ones, but it's far from a truck.

I put my blazer to pasture for a couple years when I had a 2000 Cherokee. I was sorely disappointed (as well as the neighbors backed up behind me) when only 2 of 4 wheels were turning in " "4 wheel drive mode" " It was a joke for my needs.

I was actually looking at the gray ford next to the ice mask :)

That may be an understatement ...
    60-70,000+$ for a truck?!? Thats ludicrous !

I gotta admit I am SICK for my 2014 F150.
I know you never said you were buying a truck just for fuel economy, but you know there are no trucks that get GOOD mpg!

I like the looks of most trucks (not a fan of Chevy tho).

I got my ford because I wanted to build it to "LOOK" a certain way, and I did. Even with all the Mods I've done

I like the all aluminum 2015 models but right now you can get a great deal on the 14's!
IMG_20141130_194619.jpg 20150209_172917.jpg I get about 17mpg on the hwy.. it is what it is. You either get power OR mpg.

Ah. I never saw the ford in that pic just the ice.

Those old xj Cherokees like you had were some of the best SUVs ever made. There were a couple of different 4wd versions available. The funny thing is that most peoples 4wd are not true 4wd anyway. Without a locker on the rear axle, most are only really 2wd, one front, one back.

The truck is a 2013 F-150 with a 5.0 and 3.73 gears. It was upto 20.1 on a trip to Carlisle, PA, when I got home it was down to 19.9. Normal driving it gets 18-19MPG. Normal driving for me it shifts between 3,000 and 3,500 RPM. The F-150's and other new Fords have a bar that goes up and down to show instant MPG. Pulling a good hill the instant MPG may go down to 8 or 10MPG and the same while it is under acceleration. The truck has a trip A and B. Trip B has never been reset. Last time I looked at it the average was 17 something and that includes pulling a trailer behind it some. I have hand calculated the mileage a few times. It has always been with 1/10 of what the truck shows.

Thanks, I like this truck. I hopee your works out good for you too.

24MPG is really good for a truck. Is it flat or hilly where you live? There is a guy on another forum that claims he can get 23MPG with his ecoboost but he has 3.73's.

Yep, straight 6 she had plenty of power, but lots of repairs too. I drive like a grandma, but that one was still a rough ride, ate brake pads, and had odd expensive repairs. We actually ended up parking it til the lease was over during the snowy winters, I needed real 4x4 to get to/from my house and it couldn't do it. Oh, and I didn't like the clearance either. But thats me, I'm sure that one was great for many others :)

They weren't much worse than the same trucks with the 6.0L in them. I'd trade 1-2 MPG for the big-block and the Allison behind it. Yes please!

I think I gave you the wrong impression, I LOVE IT! It's automatic tranny with heated seats  After I quit doing 30K+ miles per year I took over his 99' F250 but it became hard for my to shift (manual) and get in and out of so I went back to the old Blazer, after a miracle pregnancy he thought I should be in a vehicle with air bags. LOL baby car seats dont even hook to the old Blazer anyway so we traded back and I got the duramax

Ha, I thought you had a big gasser (8.1). The dmax just makes it even sweeter.
