50's-60"s dance tonight! Will be attending in period dress. Should be a good time only thing is, woke up not feeling well. There will be "medicine" available, though!
With double digits below zero, I wonder how many people will just say the heck with it?

I learned years ago not to leave the house in winter without proper "walking" clothes; just in case car hits ditch, etc.

Wouldn't have it any other way. Wouldn't feel worth the effort if I did it in the good weather.

I spent the whole day raking rooflines, moving snowbanks again. And this time up there with a hatchet cutting drainage channels in the ice dams. the snow drifts are so high and so compacted I can stand on them now to work on the roof edge. ugh

All the neighbors where out doing similar. People around here are about at the breaking point.

I thought about you jharkin today as I got the courage to go on the top part of the gambrel and shovelled off for about 2 hours. Good 2' I would guess up there. I stared at that ladder for a few minutes making sure my exit route and backup plan were gonna work.

Follow that up with another 2 hours of clearing the low spots, creating water channels through the ice dams and putting up more pantyhosr.

An hour was spent scraping the driveway with the tractor. The wife and kids then helped dig out the front porch, wood crates, and bulkhead.

I'm done with winter, and of course it is snowing again.

I feel for you guys with all the heavy build up of snow. Take lots of breaks, move slow, and stay safe and warm.

I cleaned the pellet stove out this morning at camp. Then I got all the logs loaded onto my my neighbor's trailer and he delivered them my customer's father's saw mill. I worked outside all day. First part of the day dropped one more tree and processed it into logs. Then loading the logs. And then next part of the day bringing some more Pine cord wood in from under the porch, and some more Ash in from an outside pile.

In the last couple of post here there is a few shots from the log work today. The Kubota ran great.

I re-split,hauled and stacked my neighbors firewood from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. so he would have enough firewood for a bit.

Once I came home I went downstairs where the wood stove is, the boss had the fire locked in at 650 (stove top) so that felt real good.

We went to a small diner down the road for supper so all is good in the land of OZ!

Tomorrow should be another busy day which should consist of, plowing the driveway, roof rake the edges (first 2 or 3 feet, we have a good 3 feet on the roof but nothing for ice I can C) push in more wood and then hit some trails on the sled.
