We are getting snow and didnt feel like taking the rear plow off the tractor for the carry all so I made use of the truck carry all lol.
Looks good! Pulled some from the back of the house this morning before the snow.. How much did you get so far over there today? We probably have 3 to 5 so far but it's snowing harder now than it has all day..
We took a little trip to Lancaster and it looks like about 4" or so here. Enough to make the roads chitty.
Hopefully it clears up before we come back home tomorrow. It's mostly highway driving though so it should be ok.
I tried with the tractor but it's only 2 wheel drive and it didn't go anywhere so I got out the UTV and that did the trick. Would have liked to use the tractor so I could just pick up a pallet but way to much snow for it to go up my hill. Did t take too long though with the UTV.
And all I got is a wheelbarrow. But on <1/3 acre and the 50' or so I need to move my wood it probably is appropriate.
I was just thinking last night that if I didn't have something with a motor I wouldn't be burning much wood right now with where I live. I used a sled before but wow it's a lot of work for the amount of wood. It would t be as bad if I had a small lot and the stacks are close to the house. But I live on 1.5 acres with a hill and the wood is down the hill.
Swags my tractor is 2wd with turf tires but having tire chains make a huge difference. The chains wont be off until the farm field is all chiseled and disc'd. I tried chisel plowing without them last year and the wheels would just spin once the plow sunk in about 8". Snow removal didn't go so well without the chains either. I picked my chains up for like $35 on CL. They're for a Farmall low-boy but the tire size was close enough. I just use bungees to take up the slack.
