You guys been hanging out watching Cheech and Chong again?

 

Oh it's frozen with 5" of snow. I was cheating breaking a pond with the loader & slid the front end in when the ice broke. I hate that pond. I'll be swinging the axe on it tomorrow. Maybe it'll behave more better. Low is supposed to be -5 tonight.

 

That's my theory if that doesn't get the pond in line use a big hammer. I think it's supposed to be around -5 here tomorrow night.

 

-6 here this morning. Really cold weather is supposed to stay west and south of us. Got a charter run today so ned to get my butt in gear. Everyone have a safe warm day.

Going out to cut some logs today.

I had a R.D.O. today and the weekend off so I took Friday off. Wooo Hooo! 4 day weekend!

I remember when Smithers told Homer, "Mr. Burns said if you call in sick on Friday, don't bother coming in on Monday!" Wooo Hooo! 4 day weekend!

 

-5F and windy...supposed to top out the temperature at 3 today. I didn't think the stove would be able to get us through the night without some help from the furnace but it did.

 

4 below zero here and gonna' be colder than that overnight. Chances of snow thru the weekend.
Cold temps and windchill make for instant snotcicles.
I stuffed the greedy hungry owb last nite at about 10pm, my beers were freezing before I could finish 'em!!
I better get moving, you folks be careful out there in the cold. Peace.

 

It's cold out there. I cleaned the boiler all out. Then went up on the lower porch roof with two feet of snow on it and used my extendable saw to reach up and clean the cap of the chimney out. I was getting a little build up on it. Then I pulled the plug at the bottom and cleaned out everything that fell down from the cap clean out.

Next was plow out and scrap down the mouth of the camp road and to the landing/lay down yard for the logs.

Then I took down three trees and limmed and cut them to log length. They are all moved to the landing, not far from there. A couple more this afternoon and then I have some clean up work to do with the tops and branches.

The wind is up and down. When it comes up I take a break in the truck with the heat and music.

 

And the only thing I got done was shoveling and touch up paint bathroom and kitchen.

 

Well that is enough for today. Two more trees after lunch. All processed and to the landing.

 

Ferried around a bus load of kids from 2 schools to a basketball tournament and then home. Pretty well shot the whole day for anything else. Not that I was gonna do anything else due to the lovely wind chill thing we have going on.............................

Currently grazing on White Cheddar Cheese Popcorn with the kids and watching a movie.

About 20 testosterone filled 8th grade boys trapped in a bus, trying to outdo each other and impress the 2 female teachers................... I probably could of quieted things down if I would of had 20 Victoria Secret catalogs to hand out.............
