Pallet Pete This is the score I was telling you about last week. Good bit of maple at the tree dump four blocks from my house, at first we were going to load without cutting but then we realised it was bigger than it looked from the vehicle. Loaded three biggies and then came back with the saw. Had to use a sledge hammer to knock them loose from the ice, there are two bigger trunks sections still there that I couldnt get loose, will go back when it thaws and try to rescue those puppies. On a side note, I got to use lots of new equipment I got for xmas including wrap around chaps from the old lady, cutting helmet with mask and muffs built in from MIL, and combo gas and bar oil jug from Freakingstang
Next week I should be making another score not too far out of my way, it will be nice having a decent amount of wood on the property when spring hits.
From what I've seen, a lot of these cans seem to have different diameter spouts - but might be wrong. This is the style I use and I like it so far - spout diameter is different from my older can with your style nozzle. Cheers!
I just bought one of those. I use it to fill the saws. Really like it. The automatic stop does not work in a chainsaw though! Found that out the hard way. Must not be enough pressure there or something. No funnel to mess with though. Fast filling.
I really hate the EPA nozzles also. I do remove the spring and it does make it tolerable. I have spilled more gas with those nozzles than a lifetime of the old ones.
Really nice score Grizzly Adam. I like the gas/oil can also. Will look close at Northern next time I visit.
Various nozzles, either fixed or retractable, and most were flexible. The old cans had a vent on the opposite end of the top of the can, so the gas would flow freely. The new cans vent through the nozzle (sort of).
