That sounds like a hunting camp tale. I think it's been around forever,

Something is definitely going on. Still chilly. 33* outside, guess I will do another deep cleaning on the stove friday as I have checked and double checked windows and doors and cannot identify any new drafts. I will run one of my electric space heaters too IHATEPROPANE :)

They come in handy on those days you need a little boost away from the stove.

I only plan on running one stove. I will wait until that one goes belly up before replacing it.

I was just trying to get a rise out of Mike and to mention my number one pet peeve namely seals on stoves, because lately there has been a rash of gaskets or no gasket in one case just not doing the job and such.

Hey Mike we had a round of snow and I've got to use the thrower yet again and I haven't had the garage floor space lately to repair the busted one. It is in the twenties here at the moment.

I have read about some of these issues lately.....
Actually on my West Point, it is gasket replacement time. I always do a preseason replacement and sometimes have to do an in season replacement as well. The flame start to pull forward and is an indication ( probably a late indicator) that replacement is due. On tap for this weekend. Along with a leaf blower treatment.

Ok. A deep cleansing of the stove got it cranking back. Oil is alleged to be delivered today. I used the liquor store as leverage for the lady on the phone. I was told 5-10 days for delivery! She said your not a customer, I am like my store is so therefore my home is an extension. I think she may get a bottle or two from me. I have a damm 550 foot uphill driveway that is plowed but a PITA to get up. The kid and dog have dug out a path. SO if they can get up we fine, if not its put more diesel in there 5 gal at a time! This is the most I have ever used this stove. Using over a bag a day and I am never home. LOL.
