If I would have kept the old one, that would be great. If I order a new one (which I will have too) I will send you the old one.

If you don't mind me asking how much do they want for a new one? How long does it last you?

The cheapest I've found is $111.00. Looks like they're are lasting about 18 months or 1.5 burning seasons.

I was curious as to how the end looks as well. You can't see much on that pic, and it looks like it needs to be pretty precise to work.

Sounds as if you could save some money here. I have a friend at work that makes his own agitators. His last a couple years in his Breckwell.

Towelie says "Oh no!" Time to clean out the bong!

Sorry, weed is legal now here in Oregon and Washington...

Not sure why mine cook up so fast...When I order a new one I will definitely get the old one to shaggy for a trail run (Worth putting some money into a prototype if he can figure it out). It does seem to be a fairly precise end cut as it turns onto something when you install it. Found a picture that shows the end a little better.

I should be able to make a template and plasma cut that right out. Only other concern is the tapered ends, is it tapered? It looks like it is in a few pictures, is it tapered for a reason that you can see? Clearance to fit into burn pot ends? That agitator is quite different from my dad's lol he had 7beaters on a solid rod with the one end ground flat inn the middle and a simple pin hole drilled into it for a cotter pin to slip through. I'll definitely figure something out though! Oh and btw sorry for this post getting!:Yar:

It is tapered...Not sure why, but it needs to be smaller on that end.

I got one of the original agitators for my Omega and its a weldment. I'll snap a few pic's for ya. I can also do some measuring.

Pretty sure the drive end could be reused if need be. It stays out of the burn pot and should have any wear. No reason a coupler of sorts couldn't be used to connect them? I could see a something like a round sleeve that has a hole for a cotter or roll pin. The stove owner can cut his old shaft. Insert it into the coupler and drill one hole to insert the pin. Might be the easiest route?

I'm not sure what it is but I'm pretty sure the one in his garage is the same as the one in the basement. I made him 3 mild steel beaters and a stainless beater.

Looks like that end could recreated with some simple tools. I would use a chamfer bit to create the bevel on the cup then use a rounded grinding wheel to create the catch and the cut on the opposite. Probably need a jig to keep that catch angle.

::edit :: and thinking a little further, the catch end could be made using a collar that slides over the agitator shaft. Set it with weld or use stainless set screws to secure. Then like jtakeman suggested you could just replace the agitator since the catch end doesn't see much action.

    Jayman,
Interesting pics! Did you get buildup on the outer edges of the liner? I seem to get carbon there more than the other areas of the liner.

My biggest buildup is usually this area. Since I have drilled holes near the igniter port.
