OK, I will swing by in the next week. Regarding your oil delivery problem and stove issues; when it rains it pours. I guess when it snows it blizzards would be more appropriate these days? Hope you get both of those solved ASAP! I called for an oil delivery today and they told me 5 day lead time and make sure I have a walking path cleared for the man or else he won't deliver. By the time he gets here, I'm going to be running on fumes. It's ~60' from the driveway to the oil tank valve around the back side of the house. The first 15' of that is 6' banks of what used to be snow, but has now turned into ice. It's a small mountain accumulated not only from the driveway, but also from the roof! At close range, the snow blower can't even throw the snow high enough to get up over the top anymore. This is 2010 all over again, only worse if there is such a thing! Time to get out there and break my back, where there's a will, there's a way.

When I was on the Propane I was consatantly worried about running out and freezing my Azz off. So I bought a bunch if space heaters as a backup. Although not ideal, and electricity is expensive. They will do the job. Each one is 5000 btu and I have like 11 of them. Just a thought if you want to conserve the oil.

Snow birds frequently are also the ones fleeing state income taxes as well, they can stand a bit of cold (state tax payers have to get a benefit out of it somehow), neighbor a mile or so down the road was down there and told my wife all she did was freeze her butt off.

Have a good day at work Mike.

We have relatives who summer in Maine and "winter" in Florida. They spend the required time in Florida and head back to Maine. I understand your blood thins out in the warm places and the cold gets to ya faster. But what the he double you are in a warm place as far as I can determine. Now go about your job and fix them stoves :D.

Well need to get ready for the round of crud on the way. Snow has drifted in the edges of our driveway, pellets need lugging into the burn room, and the boss wants the top shelf in one of the closets tightened up, she stores quilts on the top two shelves in that closet and a shelf full of quilts can get heavy.

Steve what size is the stove door gasket on your roaster?

Well the pellets are moved, and the driveway winged back, and part of the shelving work done. Time for coffee and maybe I should test my gaskets before the storm, don't want to spoil my nice clean stove glass right IHP? Those England's look really neat when the glass is clean. I might have to see if the boss will let me get one to play with, maybe a 10-CPM so I can go for Pete's burn mark, got any fingers left Mike?

My old stomping grounds are over the 100" mark and more on the way. If you are a rabbit you might be able to go rabbit hunting otherwise it is time to stay home. Pretty soon the moose will take over the highways and driving will really be wild.

Nothing like a brand new stove glass! I really like the look of my 55-TRPEP, I even use the fake log!!
When it's time to finally retire the West Point (hopefully no time soon) it will most likely be replaced by the IP by Englander. They make a very solid stove IMHO.
