Try grape flavored pedialyte. Or whatever flavor of fruit here you are sure he likes. A small bottle with the medicine mixed in it. Most kids like the grape flavor.

16 with a good wind and touch of snow. On the road today so I filled the stove to keep the little cottage warm until my bride gets off work.

 :lol:Nope. Wrong brand. Anything Bud I will not drink. For some reason it gives me a headache. Now, if it is a Labatt Blue Light, Miller Light, Sam Adams, Yuengling, etc. I have cut down on my consumption though. Gotta keep it in check.

Yeah, I guess I'm slidin into it. Still have these bouts of conflict about how I should be doing something.
The only downside to this so far was retiring right in the bowels of winter. I've got lots I'd like to do outside but this weather offers no incentive to freeze my arse off. :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

Stay on your feet and keep moving my friend. Walking is very good for you. I know the weather stinks, but if you dress right and do something that requires some effort, not too physically stressful, but some effort will keep you warm. One of the best things we can do for ourselves is to keep moving at a slow and steady to moderate pace. Keeps all the muscles strong. Helps people to keep their balance well.

I tell my Dad and Mom that if it is too cold outside and/or things are nasty slippery, even just walking around the house for a while is better than sitting all the time. Of course they are both active people anyway, old school workers who are usually always doing something. This slippery stuff scares ya. My Mom fell a couple weeks ago. Luckily she did not break any bones. Just sore and recuperating. Oh. I know your not that old yet Rottiman. :BrianK:

Lesson # 1... "bouts of conflict about doing something"... this is the first new skill that has to be learned after retirement, because it affects everything after it. It's pretty easy really. The list of things to do now is done in exactly the opposite order you've done them your whole life. Now you start with the things you REALLY wanna do FIRST. By the time you get to the other end of the list... you know the stuff you were dreading... you don't have time... ;) :D

Thanks guys, sage advice on retirement from all. I've got a wonderful load of oak logs sitting under a foot of snow and ice that I'd just love to bite into. The dilemma starts as it is -4f with a stiff wind chill, hence the "biting at the bit" complex starts. Heading out to the garage to put the third coat of wax on my chainsaws................... :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

Last log load that was in the driveway got worked on whenever it was above about 10 degrees.....as long as there wasn't too much snow plowed next to it.
I very well remember being out there in mid-February bucking up logs.
You'll be out there soon enough.
So obviously, I've been doing this all back azzwards for the past 8 years.
Thanks for the tip from the mastah.
