Pretty much use both hands loading the stove , and because I don't like getting burned or stabbed a quarter inch into my flesh by wood splinters I wear both welding gloves

I use to use both hands with my front loading BK, with the right side door on the PH I only use my right hand glove and have two brand spanking new lefties so I'm no help. With practice anyone can learn to use their offhand, I use to wipe my arse with my right but broke it pretty bad when I was younger and was forced to use my left hand to wipe, since then I've always used my left.

I use both hands fairly equally, except when precise, fine motor control is involved. For that, the left hand is not instinctive and I have to concentrate on what I am doing. Some things (baseball bat, sledge) left hand is the hand of preference.

I am strongly left handed, but like others have said I use 2 hands loading the stove, and only wear a pair of plain leather gloves. I can do a fwe things right handed but not many. It's the stuff that requires fine motor skills that cause the biggest problem. It's definitely a right handed persons world.

I'm even more weird. My only good eye is the right eye, yet I'm left handed. However, with many things I am ambidextrous. For sure with a rifle I shoot right handed. It just seemed right the first time I picked up a rifle and besides, I could not aim if shooting left handed. I used to be able to do a lot of things right handed but now have gone so many years I'd no doubt have to practice a lot of things before I could do them. Funny one though is that when swinging a bat, I can bat only right handed. It is sort of weird because I have to turn my head more and a little with my body but it works, or used to.

On the left handed glove for wood stove. It works out well here because I am left handed and my wife is right handed.

To bad I didn't see this post earlier. Since my Oslo has the side door on the left side I use my left hand to get my pecker tongs in the far box when needed and have several prestine right hand gloves laying about. I don't know about price for mailing welding gloves but I just bought a new pair this morning for under 16 bucks at my local welding supply place.

I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous!

I hate wearing gloves period. We have to at work. I only wear them at home when it's real cold or loading the stove.

I can honestly say that whenever I load wither the drolet or englander, I don't wear gloves. Now when it comes the the OWB, that's a glove wearing two handed job!
I do have a pair of welders gloves to be used for loading stoves though....I use em for cooking with the dutch oven when it has the charcoal briquets on the lid!

my Dad is 88 and went to Catholic school, naturally left handed, Nuns made him do everything right handed. So now which ever hand picks up the "tool" uses it.
