I just went to order this one http://firewoodhoardersclub.com/for...t1900ac-wireless-router-‑-4‑port-switch.8213/ I didn't realize the cost, looking for something less expensive. Not too picky on the range, the farther the better would be a bonus, not necessity. Hoping for $100 or less. Thanks!

I have limes some of the cheaper Linksys and Belkin ones at walmart, but have had lots of stability issues with Netgear lately.
Still eyeing the tp-link from amazon (first link). It says Simultaneous 2.4GHz 300Mbps and 5GHz 300Mbps connections for 600Mbps of total available bandwidth and if I understand correctly my satellite is a max of 10mbps. I have til 3pm to get it Wed. PS, the 2011 router packed in moving boxes that may be found this summer is a netgear anyway I will freecycle it when is unpacked.
Thanks HD, not sure where to look on here, this computer was new last summer if that makes a difference. Dear husband will use the wireless on his work laptop from time to time, he has internet on his phone, and I have a new Kindle for lil one. (her Christmas gift, still sitting here unused). Also it will be nice to be done with my ethernet cord running through the house LOL.
If you can connect to the 5ghz band I find it to be more stable due to less interference, so if you can use it I think its worth it.
